On the Way In

Pinhole Photograph of the main Church in Civita, Santo Donato and a Wall close to it.  Both subjects are among the first things seen by a person coming through St, Mary’s Gate into Civita..  The actual placement of the wall and the church  in the photograph is imaginary..  The wall is in the ‘correct” place but San Donato is straight ahead and not to the right. Made on color negative film in a 120mm pinhole camera;  two side by side negatives were scanned and printed digitally on archival paper with inkjet inks on 22 x 17 inch rag paper.  Image size is 18″ x 9″.   Print is signed and printed in an edition of 10.  PLEASE NOTE: This is an unmatted, unframed print,  UPDATE: Artist Proof Print has been sold.  It is not a part of the edition.  Number 1/10 has been sold..  Three of these will be sold in this sale for $300.00 (2/10, 3/10, 4/10).
